I have never experienced the love of Christ for myself. I've grown up in a Christian household, been to church, went to youth group, and said the prayer to accept Jesus into my life when I was 6 years old. But now that I'm a young adult, I realize that my faith has never been fully real for me. I can see now that I am a lukewarm Christian, and I don't want to lukewarm. I want to know Jesus personally, to know that he truly loves me, and to be in a right relationship with him. However, I doubt that will happen because I've tried over and over to be consistent in reading my Bible and praying, and I don't feel like I've gotten closer to Christ. I've gotten to the point where I don't know if there's hope for me. I also struggle with lust, and I think that that my heart has gotten hard towards Christ, among many other consequences of giving into temptation. I need prayer for my heart to change drastically, that I would know the love of Christ for myself, that I would have a personal relationship with him, and that he would change my life.
